Ambiguous

Of unknown origin,
Of unspoken cause,
Ambiguity is not life
Threatening but it is
Also not life-affirming
It lacks the balance of
The see-saw and lets
Us teeter on a brink
Emotions so off-kilter
As if we are dancing 
On a log or grabbing
For a trapeze, unsure if
We will catch or hold
