Nickname. Knick knack

What’s the story behind your nickname?

In the nick of time; nicked by a
Passing bicycle, my sideview
Mirror sits askew; "nick-nack-
Paddle wack, throw your dog
A bone." In the nick of time, I
Caught it, but unlike your dog,
I do not fetch. Or sit or stay. I
Am named for a queen of the
Bible. No nickname nor knick
Knacks. Call me by my whole
Name, in all its fullness and its
Many syllables. That's who I am.

Content

If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

I'm staying put. This is good enough
For me. It's enough to be just one of
Me, although we all know that it can
Entail a myriad of souls both old and
New just being me. Or you. We aren't
Alone when we are or where we are.
Each of us has many facets to explore.
It's enough being me and me and me.

Exotica

Write about your first name: its meaning, significance, etymology, etc.

There was a time not
So long ago or maybe
Longer than I recall
My name was exotic
An unexpected turn
Of phrase. "I never,"
They'd say "heard it
Before. Such a pretty
Name." All that has
Changed. My name is
Channeled by bunches
Of girls and women,
All wearing it proudly
Or destroying it to a
Nickname that fore-
Shortens its beauty.

Fame not fortune

Who is the most famous or infamous person you have ever met?

Any fan would recognize them in
A minute, but why are the famous
Famous. For talent, I'm sure, they
Are good at what they do. That's
Why and where they got us fans
To fawn and pfumffer. Fame can
Flicker like the light of a candle in
The wind. You age and that talent
Is no longer in demand. But you,
You made your name. Any fan will
Remember you. You are recognized.
