It looks cloudless but cloudy,
A sky so smoky grey it lets in
No sun. Cloud cover that is a
Camouflage so complete you
Wonder what exactly you are
Seeing. It's warm this winter
Day; when is February ever
This balmy? Maybe the sun
And clouds are hiding in a
Confusion similar to my own.

It's a uniformly pale blue
Look closer why don't you
There to the left a pillowy
Mass of greyish cloud meets
The azure, disrupts its single
Hues, changes its singularity
To a subtler picture, one of
Diversity of color and form.
Look closer, why don't we?

Who know what it is
In the night skies to
Distinguish one from
Another constellation.
Lights strung in rows
Or shining separately
Making sparkles that
Brighten the sky and
Illuminate the clouds.
